Employer Matching Donations
Increase your contribution value

Some employers will match their employees' charitable gifts made toward a non-profit organization under the provision that an original donor (their employee) first makes a gift toward that organization.  Please consider asking your employer if they participate in matching gifts. World Convention will assist with any necessary procedures.

One Minute, One Dollar

Your gifts of prayer and resource are so appreciated!  We acknowledge them regularly on our website under the heading Giving One Minute, One Dollar.  Your constant support of World Convention is making a difference everywhere, every day.

THANKS!

 -Gary Holloway

In between the American holiday called Thanksgiving and the Christian celebration of Advent, our thoughts are drawn to gratitude.

I am thankful for the vision and tireless work of Jesse Bader in beginning this ministry that has blessed the world. I am thankful for all who have gone before me as General Secretaries of World Convention and for the continuing work, wisdom, and support of my immediate predecessors. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for my calling to this ministry.

Particularly, many are thankful for the ways God has blessed them through World Convention. I have told many of those stories through ChristiaNet and our mailings, but there are many others that could be told.

I am deeply grateful for the gracious support you have given World Convention through your prayers and gifts. Here at the end of 2012, we particularly need generous gifts to meet our yearly budget. Over 63% of our annual budget is provided by gifts from individuals and churches, with most gifts under $100. So while we need large and generous gifts, a gift of any size will help us avoid a serious deficit situation.  Please give out of your own thankfulness for what God has done for you in Christ.

 YOUR GIFT GIVES MORE

Thanks to the generosity of two donors, all gifts from individuals through the end of 2012 will be matched.

So if you have made your gift this year, we ask for another generous gift. And if you have not given this year, please prayerfully consider doing so.

Your gifts make it possible to continue to our ongoing ministry of connecting everywhere, every day.

Hands on Unity Opportunities

Amor Ministries' Women of Strength www.amor.org sponsored the Common Ground event, a coffee and sweet experience bringing women together to worship, meet women active in ministry (I sat with Rachel from CRAM www.cramwinc.org), share Human Trafficking concerns www.raphahouse.org, and tell of mission travel plans to India with stopthetraffik.org

There were HUNDREDS of missions represented in the exhibit hall.  World Convention/Global Women Connecting hosted a booth to reconnect with past friends and get to know new ones.  Collecting brochures and information became a daunting task, but here's a sampling from those I had the pleasure of visiting with...

Yes, this is a gathering you will find exciting - especially if you have a heart for mission.  The next International Conference on Missions will be November 14-17, 2013 in Kansas City.   - Julia Keith

Getting up early is no longer my 'chance to be the bird that gets the worm.'  Instead, this has become the time to find my center in preparation for the day.  I re-read an excerpt from John 17 recently, this time the version found in The Message -

"Holy Father, guard them as they pursue this life
That you conferred as a gift through me,
So they can be one heart and mind
As we are one heart and mind."

Jesus prays as he prepares for his human life to end asking for love and protection for those who will continue pursuing a God-filled life.  He prays for life to be lived in union with God the Father and God the Son.

Life. God's gift. Unity. God's design.

We are bound together.  God makes it so.  When we behave with 'together' in our hearts and minds we make the most of the marvelous gift we've been offered.  Every day opportunities arrive to unite the life in us and around us.  Our involvement helps us live God's plan.

As we re-open our Gift this Christmas may God's love call to us again.  May Jesus' birth inspire hope.  May we be filled with the Spirit of One.
