News from the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hard to believe it is August already.  Summer always seems to fly by and this year is no exception.  This month will see two significant events at the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce.

The 2016-17 Chamber Business Directory will be published and distributed in August.  The Business Directory is one of the most valuable benefits of membership in the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce.  Not only is the directory loaded with information about Genesee County but it offers a complete listing of all Chamber members and their contact information - all indexed both alphabetically and by type of business.

THINKING ABOUT STARTING A BUSINESS?

Then you should attend the START-UP GENESEE
Launch Party on Wednesday, August 31 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Harvester Center, 22 Masse Place, Batavia.  Come celebrate Genesee County's newest program at the world's first business incubator, the Harvester Center.  The START-UP GENESEE network can assist in all types of businesses from early stage planning to site selection, access to capital and product development or diversification.  The Genesee County Economic Development Center, the Batavia Development Corporation, the Mancuso Business Development Group, the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce, the Batavia Business Improvement District and the New York State Small Business Development Center have all teamed up as a business assistance network dedicated to providing business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with guidance on starting, growing and succeeding in the business world.

GOLF THANKS

On Wednesday, July 27th the Chamber hosted its 44th Annual Golf & Bocce Outing.  The Outing was held and Batavia Country Club.   The weather was perfect (although it may have been a bit too hot for some) and we had 96 Golfers and 12 Bocce players.

Thank you to all who joined us to play and support the Chamber.  The day would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers.  Thank you to Castilone Chrysler Dodge Jeep for being our Hole in One Sponsor.  No hole in one this year however there a few that got pretty close!
