Message from the President

Summer is supposed to be the time that things slow down but we've been extremely busy at the Chamber office.  We were fortunate to be involved in the grand openings of the new Reed Eye Associates building and Sports Plus Physical Therapy's new location in Batavia.  We were also on hand for the uplifting announcement of the continuation of P.W. Minor thanks to Chamber members Andrew Young and Pete Zeliff.  These events continue to validate the upswing in our local economy that has been happening in the past few years.  Read more...

Genesee Tourism Leads State-wide Initiative

Last fall, the Chamber launched a state-wide paranormal tourism trail across New York State with 12 partnering tourism promotion agencies.  The Haunted History Trail of New York State was developed to promote Genesee and partnering counties to a niche market of ghost-enthusiasts.  In 2014, the program has grown to 21 counties and two more have signed up to join for 2015. Rolling Hills Asylum, in East Bethany is ranked 2nd most haunted place in the country by Haunted North America and was the inspiration for this new paranormal tourism initiative by our office.  Read more...

Attention Restaurants!

The Chamber's tourism program is updating its image library and would like to have an assortment of photography that includes folks enjoying a meal in Genesee County restaurants.  If you would like our hired professional to photograph your dining establishment, please contact Kelly Rapone to assist in coordinating a shoot date this fall.
