That is the mission statement of our Chamber.  And this past weekend there could be no more better example of fulfilling our mission than the Genesee County Chamber's first ever Home Show. 

 

With the help of a talented and dedicated group of volunteers, staff, and Chamber member businesses, the Falleti Ice Arena was transformed into a bustling center of business activity that most definitely was "an environment for business success".

Support Financial Literacy Education & Junior Achievement
 

In the US, National Financial Literacy Month is recognized in April in an effort to highlight the importance of financial literacy and to teach young Americans how to establish and maintain healthy financial habits.  Year-round, Junior Achievement of WNY is committed to preparing students from kindergarten through high school to own their economic success.  With sequential, age appropriate educational curriculum, Junior Achievement delivers financial literacy programs to more than 13,000 students throughout the eight counties of WNY.  Read more...

Save the Date!

On Tuesday, May 20th, the Chamber's tourism staff will be holding a tourism industry update meeting at the Generation Center in Batavia.  We will also be hosting an information session on group tour initiatives and attracting the student group tour market.  More details coming soon!


State-wide Tourism Conference
 
Registration is still open for the 8th annual Empire State Tourism Conference in Syracuse, NY on March 28-30th.  The conference offers a great line-up of seminars and networking events and is open to any tourism-related business.  Click here for more information.
New Sports Park Map
 
The Chamber's tourism program has produced a new map for incoming sports teams and visitors that will be made available at the Batavia Sports Park.  The map highlights Batavia area dining, shopping, and entertainment in close proximity to the sports park.  Thank you to those businesses who offered discounts and deals to these visitors!
