Baird Supports A Precious Child's Flood Relief Efforts
We are so thankful for our partners at Baird for raising $9,000 for us to go towards our flood relief efforts! The money will help many families get the resources they need to put their lives back together after these tough times.
Baird has been a dedicated
supporter of A Precious Child in the past. They have often volunteered their time in our Resource Center and donated funds to children and families in need. Thank you, Baird!
Volunteers of the Month!
We would like to recognize two volunteers this month, Sue Fernau and Marcella Hiebert, as volunteers of the month. Sue and Marcella's dedication and hard work on our Precious Boutiques have been instrumental in the success of this program.
Both are committed to helping provide basic essentials, such as coats, shoes and school supplies, to kiddos on-site in local schools. "Sue and Marcella go above and beyond to help with Precious Boutiques," said our Director of Programs, Courtney Rogers. Thank you for all of your assistance ladies. We greatly appreciate it!
Thank You Mary Juszynski and Applewood Plumbing!
Thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Mary Juszynski, for nominating A Precious Child to win $1,000 from Applewood Plumbing. We won!
A heartfelt thank you to Applewood Plumbing for providing us the money! The donation will make a difference in many children's lives!

A Poem from A Client of A Precious Child

You're an organization that stands out from among the rest as you commit to excellence in your service and nothing less. Each staff member contributes something special to your space whether with a kind word to a family or a smile on their face. Each family that you welcome has a story indeed. They're not just a statistic or a hopeless case in need. As they endure temporary hardships, it's a blessing to know that when in need of basic clothing, to you they can go. The labor of love that you do is not in vain. There are great rewards and so much to gain. As your heart and mission remains focused on giving, you're truly making a life and not just a living. Behold the dawn of a brand new level in this work that you do! You're about to increase, oh yes, it's true! Now isn't the time to fear or doubt, but rather to trust and believe. As a result, everything you need, you shall surely receive. We thank you for what you do!

Happy Halloween! We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable evening. At A Precious Child, we continue to help individuals victimized by the Colorado floods and would like to thank those who have lent a helping hand. This month we also hosted our most successful event to-date, the 3rd Annual Heroes of A Precious Child Luncheon! Thank you to all the supporters that continue to allow us to have an impact on Colorado kids in need.

Cutthroats Challenge

The Denver Cutthroats and owners, John & Susie Hayes, have offered up a challenge to the community to help have a greater impact on local kids in need. The Hayes family has agreed to match dollar-for-dollar all donations that come in through the give back program that the Cutthroats have committed to with A Precious Child for their 2013-2014 season. Of each ticket sold through the link below, $3 will go back to A Precious Child and, with the Hayes' match, a total of $6 for each ticket sold will benefit A Precious Child and local kids in need.

Click here to get tickets and visit www.denvercutthroats.com for schedules and game information.

Coming Up: Precious Gift

The holiday season is here! We're busy preparing for our Precious Gift program, which provides gifts to children who would otherwise be without a gift this holiday season. This year, we invite you to get involved and make a difference by donating a gift to a child who would otherwise not receive one. It is our goal to provide gifts for more than 6,000 kids this holiday season, and we need your help to reach our goal!

You can get involved in the Precious Gift Program by hosting a toy drive, sponsoring a child, donating online, or hosting an event to raise funds to benefit A Precious Child! To Learn more about getting involved click here!

Please contact our Director of Programs, Courtney, at CourtneyRogers@Apreciouschild.org or 303.466.4272 with questions!

3rd Annual Heroes of A Precious Child Luncheon A Success!

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to attendees and sponsors that helped to make our 3rd Annual Heroes of A Precious Child Luncheon a success! This event was our most significant fundraiser to-date, raising more than $182,000. We would also like to thank those that presented at the event, including: Our emcee, Boulder District Attorney, Stan Garnett, and this year's recipient of the Hero of A Precious Child Award, John Hayes, President & CEO of Ball Corporation.

The 3rd Annual Heroes of A Precious Child Luncheon would not have been the success that it was without our sponsors, including:

Update: Flood Relief Efforts

Although the rain has come and gone, we continue to receive support from across the US! We have experienced tremendous response from the community to support victims of the Colorado floods, and have been amazed by the generosity and help we have received.

Leah and Lauren, two young ladies with kind hearted aspirations, collected goods to help with flood relief efforts. They were able to ship three palettes of goods to Colorado all the way from Florida!

We also received 475 boxes, which was close to 6000 pounds of donations, from our friends up in the Mini-Cassia area of Idaho. Individuals from within this community spent three weeks weeks collecting, sorting, labelling, and personally delivering donations to our Resource Center!
Locally, Emerald Elementary hosted a clothing drive to support flood victims. Many of the families who are apart of the elementary school's community struggle to provide essentials for their own family, but felt compelled to donate to a worthy cause.
Last but not least, a class of local fifth graders raised $150 to support flood victims. The money was collected by the students of Emerald Elementary School and Malley Drive in Northglenn.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported our organization and this great cause!
Thank you again to all supporters of A Precious Child. We greatly appreciate your support! Together we can do more for children in need in Colorado.
