Broomfield Evening Rotary Club raises critical funds for A Precious Child

A Precious Child was honored to be one of the beneficiaries of the Broomfield Evening Rotary Club's "Honoring our Heroes" fundraiser held on September 10th, 2011. The event raised $5,800 for A Precious Child which will help provide impoverished children with life's most basic essentials such as clothing, shoes, coats, school supplies, diapers, baby food, and sports equipment. A Precious Child is grateful to be supported by such a caring and community-focused group who dedicates so much attention to supporting local seniors and children. Carina Martin, Founder and Executive Director of A Precious Child thanks the Broomfield Evening Rotary Club on behalf of A Precious Child and all of the children and families we serve for choosing us as one of the recipients of the funds raised. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to our future work together to change the lives of children in need for the better.

 nearly naked mile

In the efforts to aid those who struggle with poverty, CU students organize the Nearly Naked Mile in which over 600 students run through campus (nearly naked) to collect clothing to help those in need throughout the community. This year, The Herd chose to donate the mountains of clothing which were shed throughout the race to A Precious Child! We value this wonderful new partnership and would like to sincerely thank all of those who participated in the Nearly Naked Mile for helping to clothe precious children in need!
