Dear Supporters,

Spring time is among us and A Precious Child is gearing up for several spectacular events. Bowl for A Precious Child will take place on April 11th at Chipper's Lanes. A run/walk sponsored by Chick-Fil-A in Larkridge will be held on May 1st. A Precious Child will have an open house on May 15th at our new facility. The 71st Senior PGA Championship Tournament is scheduled for May 25th-30th with 10% of ticket sales benefiting A Precious Child. And last, but certainly not least, our 2nd Annual Golf for A Precious Child Tournament will be on July 19th at the Omni Resort and Golf Club.

These events represent some of our biggest efforts to raise money for A Precious Child. Proceeds from these fundraisers provide crucial funding that will allow A Precious Child to operate and help children in need throughout the entire year.

Last year, the very first Golf for A Precious Child Tournament raised more than $25,000! This funding helped A Precious Child carry out our Fill-A-Backpack program that provided over 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to children whose parents could not otherwise afford it.

Another words, your participation in these events make an enormous impact in the lives of disadvantaged and displaced children in our community. This is our mission and this is why we are here.

So please join us as we bowl, walk, run, and golf for all of the precious children who are desperatley in need.

Volunteer of the Month
Carole Tritz

2Carole has been bringing joy and laughter to A Precious Child since October 2009. Her laid back attitude along with her quick wit makes for a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Yet, through all the good times and laughs there is no denying that Carole is dedicated to helping children and has a heart for service. Carina Martin, Executive Director of A Precious Child says,

"Carole is a special person you wish you could duplicate over and over again. She has a heart of gold and loves helping those in need."

Carole dedicates much of her time working in our Central Clothing Bank where she sorts, sizes, and organizes loads of donated clothing, coats, shoes, and other essential items. The Central Clothing Bank is a fundamental component of A Precious Child. We are able to help children and families in need from all over the North Metro Area and a variety of organizations through our Central Clothing Bank. For instance...

Growing Home, a local homeless shelter, takes between 600 to 1,000 items every week from A Precious Child's Central Clothing Bank to provide to children and families in the North Metro area who are the hardest economically hit.

A Precious Child relies heavily on community donations and volunteers like Carole to maintain the Central Clothing Bank and keep it functioning effectively and efficiently.

Thank you Carole, for your help and dedication to precious children in need!

OPEN HOUSE
Come see our new facility!

A Precious Child will have an open house on May 15th from 10am-2pm to showcase our new facility and Central Clothing Bank. There will be fun festivities for the kids, facility tours, food, and refreshments. Plus, this is an opportunity to learn more about what A Precious Child does, right here in Broomfield and across the North Metro Area.

The mission of A Precious Child is to make a positive impact in the lives of disadvantaged and displaced children and families.  We consider the community to be our partner in this endeavor and we would love for you to see where our operations take place.
