Happy New Year! A Precious Child would like to wish you and your family a happy and healthy New Year. January 1st marks not only the beginning of a new year, but the beginning of a new decade and with that comes hope and endless possibilities.
It is our hope that A Precious Child will make an even bigger impact and be able to help even more children and families in need in this coming year.
We are confident that with your support we will do just that!
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
Thank you...
to all who participated in our winter Coat Drive. We saw so many little smiles and heard countless "thank you's" from the recipients of YOUR donated coats.
Thank you...
to those who donated Christmas gifts to our Toy Drive for local children in need. The toys that you so generously donated brought enormous joy to numbers of children who may have otherwise not received a gift this holiday season.
A Precious Child relies on your donations. It is because of your generosity and support that A Precious Child was able to provide many children and families in need with coats to keep them warm in these cold winter months along with gifts to celebrate the Christmas holiday.
Thank you...
to the local businesses, organizations, and schools that served as drop-off locations for our Christmas Toy Drive to benefit children in need.

A Christmas Wish From Our Kids In Thailand
As many of you know, A Precious Child also works internationally. A Precious Orphan is our international program that helps Orphans in need around the world.
A Precious Orphan finds sponsors to support orphans worldwide. There are so many orphanages and children's programs all over the world that do not have sponsors and donors.A Precious Child identifies orphanages and organizations in the most need of financial support for their children. This program raises funds to build new schools and better living facilities for orphaned children to give them dreams of a better future.
Last July, Carina Martin and a team of volunteers traveled to Thailand to collaborate with Thai partners to establish two safe houses for Thai street children. The safe houses were successfully created and filled with a small yet significant number of children who will no longer need to wander the streets without shelter, food, or protection.
If you are interested in sponsoring a child or learning more about our international efforts please contact us. We need your help.
The Broomfield Community Foundation Awards a Grant to our Share-On Program
A Precious Child recently accepted a grant from the Broomfield Community Foundation to support the Share-On program this holiday season. The grant was used to purchase Target gift cards for children in need. The gift cards were distributed with the help of FISH, Broomfield Health and Human Services and the Broomfield Crossing Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club gave the gift cards to Santa who added the cards to the gift bags that were distributed at the Christmas Party for children that have association with foster and adoption programs through the Broomfield Health and Human Services.
Those who received the gift cards were children and families in our community who really needed the help and encouragement this holiday season.
A Precious Child sincerely thanks the Broomfield Community Foundation for their recognition and support.
The Broomfield Community Foundation was established in 1993 to create an ongoing source of funds for local charitable organizations. It is a vehicle for community philanthropy that enables individuals of both modest and substantial means to help "build a community with heart." For more information, please contact the Broomfield Community Foundation at 303-469-7208 or visit the website at www.broomfieldfoundation.org.

Alexander Dawson Students Step Up
Everyone at A Precious Child would like to thank the students from Alexander Dawson who volunteered hours of their time working in our clothing bank. A group of 7th graders and a group of 9th graders each spent a morning sorting, sizing, and taking inventory of clothing donations made to A Precious Child. The students were a tremendous help and it was a pleasure to work beside young people in the community who are willing to work to help those who are less fortunate.
If you know a school who would like to have their students participate in volunteer work or if your son or daughter would like to help out please contact us. We are always in need of volunteers!
As always, thank you for your faithful support and I look forward to working together to serve the disadvantaged and displaced children in our community in this new year.
