Jonestown Survivor Laura Johnston Kohl Returns
On November 18, 1978, 914 members of the Peoples Temple died in Jonestown, Guyana. North County resident Laura Johnston Kohl was one of the few survivors, and we are delighted that she will be sharing her fascinating life story with us.

Public Art in Escondido

"Eucalyptus Leaf Court" - Christine Oatman,
1991, Kit Carson Park, Mary Lane entrance, adjacent to the adult softball fields and tree lake - Five giant eucalyptus leaves, cast in bronze and painted silicon. The leaves form an inlay in the road, a backrest, a bench, and an archway.
