CONGRATULATIONS, Cat Ross, our June Member of the Month!  Who else but our devoted member Cat Ross of North Mason Resources would be the first to receive TWO member of the month awards?  Special thanks to Cat this month for heading up our Relay for Life Team Chamber. Cat was honored at our luncheon last week; Chamber Chairman Chris Ladner and Faith in Action's Patti Kleist cheer her on. Stay tuned - next week we will include a report of the Faith in Action event. Thank you, ALL!

    The parade forms at Kay's Corner and hits the road at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join in the parade. While there is no preregistration; participants are asked to sign in on the day of the parade at Kay's Corner beginning at 12:15 pm.

    The scholarship raffle drawing will take place at 3 p.m. Funds from the "Tahuya" clothing and scholarship raffle to benefit North Mason High School students and North Mason programs for children and families. Cash or check only. For information, see "Tahuya Day Parade" on Facebook.

    Olympic College Presents Matthew Blegen's Summer Choir Tune Up

    Instructor Matthew Blegen believes in the benefits of community singing as a form of grass roots arts participation. He was the Founder and Artistic Director of the Anna's Bay Chorale and Center for Music.  Currently he serves as Artistic Director of Red Thread Ensemble, a project-based teaching choir comprised of professional singers while also serving as Managing Director of Seattle-based Choral Arts, awarded the Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence in 2010; and the American Prize for Choral Performance (community division) in 2010 and 2013.

    Beach walks with Washington Sea Grant specialists, exhibits, children's activities, and featuring Native American cultural presentations by the Skokomish Tribe. Lunch will be provided by Taylor Shellfish. Free event (suggested donation of $5/person or $15/family to benefit the Washington State Parks Foundation).

Our Mason County Rodeo Court will continue to promote Mason County and the Mason County Rodeo Association thru the 2015 year. Our plan is to come back strong with a Rodeo at the Ridge Motor Sports Track in 2016. Thank you to all that have sponsored, donated and volunteered for the past 15 years to the Mason County Rodeo. Without all of you, Rodeo in Mason County could not have happened. As the 2015 Miss Teen Rodeo Washington said, It's not the end, it' the beginning of our new adventure!
