Greetings! 
 
We're pleased to share some of our wonderful Swain stories with you on this beautiful weekend -

 Buddies are big at Swain!

Our fifth - eighth graders all hit the road on Friday for their fall Outdoor Ed day.

The fifth graders went to Stony Acres for team building activities (right - click the photo for more pictures); the sixth graders traveled to Hickory Run State Park; seventh grade students went to Skytop Lodge for  zip line and other fun; and eighth grade students enjoyed whitewater rafting and biking (click here for more pictures).

Lower School science teacher Mrs. Bardman (far left) took her first grade scientists outside to enjoy the great weather and to
make paper.

"It's wet!" and "it's gross!" was a comment heard  over and over as the students ground up the recyled paper and squeezed the liquid through the filter. But the finished product was beautiful to behold.


Our Preschool students are enjoying getting to know each other, their teachers, and their classroom. There is so much to learn about!

Esther Swain Legacy Society, which will hold its annual dinner on Wednesday, October 23. This event honors those individuals and families that philanthropically support the school at an exceptional level.
