Art Show, Grandparents & Special Friends Day

Whether they're called "Pop-Pop", "Na-Na", "Gigi" or "Granddad" - or something in between - our grandparents and special friends are a wonderful group of people!

Check out photos from a couple of our classrooms: Mrs. Akers' and Mrs. Johnson's Prekindergarten room, Mrs. Pugh's third grade class, and Mrs. Stout's and Mrs. Loar's Kindergarten.

And Mrs. Getty shares some  PK_sing

If you would like to order a DVD of the performances, print out an order form and send it to the address on the form (not to Swain).

More fun around Swain...

Mrs. Gruber's 7th grade English classes have been exploring the worlds of poetry, Shakespeare and modern-day novels. Enjoy these photos of their re-enacting of A Midsummer Night's Dream (left) and other classroom activities, including their recent sessions with visiting Poet-in-Residence Judyth Hill.

Each of the three Kindergarten classrainforest_biomerooms have been learning all about the rain forest, and its animals and vegetation. The students have re-created a rain forest biome outside each classroom - stop by to check out your knowledge of the parts of the biome and the creatures that live there! This is the biome created by Miss Zepp's and Miss Knerr's class - with a little help from their fourth grade buddies!
