Happy weekend -

We hope you enjoyed last week's premier edition of Swain Stories.

Don't forget to check our Facebook page,  "News" section of our website, and/or our online photo gallery, "SmugMug" - many of the teachers have photos from these, and other activities, in their own galleries.

At Swain - everyone reads!

And everyone supported our popular Barnes & Noble Book Fair, this year held on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Thanks to everyone who came out for our big event that evening! From left, fourth graders Olivia, Emily, Ann, Lexi and Hayley

50 Days.. and counting!

Since the beginning of the school year, the Prekin-dergarten students have been counting the days, and on Monday they celebrated our 50th day of school with a fun-filled 50's Party. Dressed in 50's style clothing, they enjoyed many activities to highlight the decade. After comparing 50's clothing, telephones, cars, bicycles, restaurants, and pop machines, they danced to 50's music, did the limbo, and tried their hula hoop skills as Mimi demon-strates, right. Click on the photo for more pictures.

Celebrating as a community

Thanks to the combined efforts of our families (including grand-parents) and our kitchen staff, Swain's community enjoyed the annual Harvest Feast. The Preschool and Prekindergarten students gathered first, and then the K-8 students and faculty/staff assembled by Birthday Groups to show their gratitude for our special community! Relive the fun of our annual Thanks-
