Now in its 14th year, the Lincoln Arts Festival is home to fabulous works of art by one hundred artists from across the country, live music acts and a family friendly atmosphere with children's activities, food and raffle prizes.

Our artists are the best

Once again, the Festival has a wealth of artists from all disciplines including clay, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking and wood. Patrons can get a sneak peek of the artists and their work  here, or follow the Festival on Facebook "Lincoln Arts Festival," or on Twitter "@LNKArtsFestival." Then come to the festival to see their talent first hand.

Visit our emerging artist tent

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Allstate-Lincoln, six Lincoln artists have been selected for the Emerging Artists' Tent at Lincoln Arts Festival 2014. These individuals have interesting stories and marvelous art to share. Be sure to visit them as they launch their "maiden show" in a festival setting. Click here for more information.

Enjoy our World Entertainment

Free Live music has always been part of the arts festival. Returning from 2013, singer/songwriter Anna Christensen paints the sonic landscape of the Saturday morning Patron's breakfast. Once again, the Southeast Community College World Entertainment Stage will feature a colorful variety of cultures expressed in music, song, story and dance. Get the schedule here.

 LAC Project Grant Showcase

We are excited to share the great work of the arts community that we help fund each year through LAC Project Grants.  The grants are designed to assist in the sustainability of current programming or to fund new ideas that provide arts opportunities in our diverse community.

Featured Project:

Vision Maker Film Festival

The fifth biennial VisionMaker Film Festival was held March 13-20, 2014, with screenings at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center, Sheldon Museum of Art, KANEKO (Omaha, Neb.) and The World Theatre (Kearney, Neb).

We gathered a fifteen (15) member local planning committee that helped shape the community partnerships. We brought eighteen (18) filmmakers and actors/talents featured in the films. Fifteen (15) film screenings were followed by a discussion between the audience and a filmmaker, actor, director, editor, artist and/or person featured in a documentary film. With the assistance of nationally recognized media makers shape the Festival, the curatorial team helped the Festival showcase 42 Native film and video projects. We worked with 25 partners to coordinate workshops and additional screenings with our visiting filmmakers.

For more information about this great project visit http://www.nativetelecom.org/festival.
