Don't Miss This!

By Jan Markell

May 28, 2014

If you're tired of Christian-themed entertainment that disappoints, we don't think this production will.

You may remember that Joni Eareckson Tada's Oscar-nominated song, "Alone, Yet Not Alone," was withdrawn by Hollywood last January. All sorts of reasons were given. God used the disappointment to draw attention to the forthcoming film, set to debut on June 13.

"Alone, Yet Not Alone" tells the inspiring true story of Barbara and Regina Leininger and their journey of faith and survival during the French & Indian war in 1755. Captured by the Delaware Indians in a raid on their home and transported over 300 miles of wilderness to Ohio, the sisters are sustained only by their abiding trust in God, and their hope of escape against all odds to be reunited with their family.

"This inspirational true story is sure to get to your heart and elevate your spirit. Don't miss it -- go see this movie!"

- Dr. James and Shirley Dobson

One of the co-producers, co-writers, and co-directors is George Escobar, who made the brilliant documentary about Anita Dittman, "Trapped in Hitler's Hell."  Find trailer and info for that production here. If you've seen it, you know Escobar's talent for bringing you sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat productions. He also produced "The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment."

The theme of "Alone, Yet Not Alone," is similar to the Anita Dittman story. It is a story of capture, survival, escape, and total reliance on God for His miraculous deliverance. That is another reason I was so drawn to it.  But this is a full-length drama and not a documentary. It runs just short of two hours.

German immigrants come to a new land to escape war in their homeland but settle in the midst of America's conflict with native Indians in the mid 1750s.

This important movie is one of the most talked about films of 2014 and is being strongly recommended by many well known and respected Christian leaders.

Use this link and Olive Tree Ministries will get 10% of the ticket sales. But more importantly, use that link to get your tickets TODAY for the June 13 opening. If the film doesn't do well that opening weekend, or not enough tickets are reserved, the movie could disappear within a week.

This process does an end-run around Hollywood and the control they try to put on films. When they do, we get a product like "Noah." When Christian producers, writers, and directors maintain control of content and ticket sales, we get a product like "Alone, Yet Not Alone." But they're counting on you to respond now.

Act today. The success of "Alone, Yet Not Alone," may help get "Trapped in Hitler's Hell" in the theaters some day. That is the hope of George Escobar who is involved in both productions.
