The world is obsessed with something that will eventually go away. And what nation may lead the cashless revolution? Israel, according to this article. Cash is way too inconvenient, cumbersome, subject to being stolen, and just out-of-date.
Dr. Mark Hitchcock talks about that on our current radio program found here and he will address some related issues at Understanding the Times 2013, this Saturday, October 5.
As Mark says in his book, "Economic upheaval always opens the door for massive change. Political opportunists take full advantage of desperate times to seize power and implement their vision. This was true in the past, is true today, and will still hold true in the future."
He continues, "This coming worldwide economic disaster will no doubt be a key part of the matrix of events that sets the stage for the one-world economy of the Antichrist. Just as with Hitler's rise to power, runaway inflation will pave the way for the Antichrist and his one-world, cashless economy. History will repeat itself."
He concludes, "People desperate for the basic necessities of life will yearn for someone--anyone--who can provide real answers and solutions. They will gladly dispense with the delay of democratic processes and the normal channels of government. They will accept anyone who can stop the misery."
Those are tough words to ponder and the reality of our times getting tougher is a concept most want to avoid. But our future is in the cards as the world begins to move from paper to plastic and electronic money. The future is going to give new meaning to "the buck stops here." It will be blotted out forever. The only question is, how soon?

I agree with Mark that a Christless society is more troubling than a cashless society. We also maintain that a message of end-time significance such as this is well suited for use in witnessing to friends and loved ones. We remain grieved that the church, by and large, will continue to avoid this topic for a multitude of reasons. Eschatology and evangelism go hand-in-hand, even hand-in-glove.
If you want to learn more about this and related subjects, join us this coming weekend, Saturday, October 5 just outside of Minneapolis, MN. All information is found here.

Dr. Mark Hitchcock addresses this topic on air on our current radio program found here. He is joined by Joseph Farah. Dr. Ron Rhodes is featured on our September 14 radio program found here. Rhodes helps us to look up as he and I discuss the Millennium, Heaven, and related issues that keep our focus and minds on issues that are out of this world!
Eric Barger will serve as conference co-host with me.
Keeping things in context helps. Yes, we run out of money and society today is running out of patience, civility, kindness, love and more, but that foreshadows the return of the King of kings. He is coming soon. If you choose to look around, then you'd better also look up.
We will have CDs and DVDs of our "Understanding the Times 2013" about the first week of November. Give us a call for details.
Important note: This book is an update of Mark's original book titled "Cashless." It has new information in it as well!
