A Special Message From our President Angeline Trudell
A Special Message From
President Angeline Trudell

As Mrs. Trudell said in her video message, we are so appreciative of what each of you offers to Serra Catholic School and it says in Romans 12:5-6:  that we are "One body in Christ...Everyone has some gift that can be used for the benefit of the community...."

The future is bright for Serra and it is because of the collective time, talent and treasures that our families, friends, faculty & staff, and benefactors offer.  We thank you for helping us achieve our long-term fundraising goals each year!

2013-2014 Annual Report Revealed at Serra Summit and Launches
2014-2015 Annual Fund Appeal

The 2013-2014 Annual Report was distributed to the key advisory stakeholders on Thursday, October 2nd, at the 2014 Serra Summit and subsequently to our Serra community the following week.    The new graphically enhanced version of the report incorporates QR code technology and truly celebrates last year's accomplishments of Serra Catholic School.  The report highlights the accolades that we received during the 2014 WCEA Accreditation Visit when we received a full six-year accreditation, as well as the gifts that your treasures helped to support during the past year.

The release of the annual report kicks off our 2014-2015 Annual Fund Appeal.  This year we are asking the Serra Community to "Get on the Bus"!  Yes, it is our goal to utilize some of the funds raised for this year's Annual Fund to purchase at least one bus to help Serra begin a bus transportation program for students to get to and from school from certain designated areas.  This would help reduce traffic at drop off and pick up times and would also help lower the costs of our field trips as the bus could be used for those purposes as well.

We are also working with the curriculum team in the hopes of supporting the purchase of a new Math program that would take our students to the next level in Math as well as provide tools that work in conjunction with our 1:1 iPad program.

All funds raised for Annual Fund not only enhance the educational experience of our students, but also help keep tuition and registration costs down and they are 100% tax deductible.  If you are interested in making a contribution, DONATE NOW.

As an added bonus, this year the Founder's Circle Giving Level ($1995 or more) can be paid over a period of six installments making this giving level and the beautiful Founder's Circle Appreciation Dinner invitation that accompanies it easier to attain.

We look forward to the amazing things that will come to fruition because of the generous donations made to Annual Fund 14-15!

If you did not get an Annual Report or would like another one, please contact us at advancement@serraschool.org.

A Miracle Blossoms...

 Did you know.......

*     we have raised over $15,000,000 towards our Capital Campaign since we began on this journey back in 2008?

*     that these funds were not gifted to us by just a handful of major donors, but from Serra Catholic families, just like you?  That's right, 706 families have given one time gifts, periodic gifts or pledges to the campaign to help us get this far.

*     that your gift or pledge to the Miracle Blossoms campaign is 100% tax deductible to the extent of the current tax laws?

*     that without our capital campaign in place, tuition would be significantly higher per student to pay off our currently building loans.  Each tax deductible gift or pledge to the campaign actually helps keep our tuition down!

*     that we are about to embark on our 20th Anniversary year with the goal of bringing our preschool to the main campus as soon as physically possible and starting the process of building the chapel and administration wing in order to finish our campus in the near future.

*     that we need YOU to help us achieve these goals and make our future a reality.

Ever since Serra Catholic School was a dream in the hearts of our founders, we have accomplished so much. The perseverance of a few and the generosity and selflessness of so many took us to where we are today.  Where we will be tomorrow will be because of YOU.  Please join us on this journey!

Serra Welcomes Back our Alumni

As we enter our 20th Anniversary year in January, it is important for us to continue to be engaged and informed about the many Catholic leaders that have graduated from Serra and are making a difference in their communities.

Please send your updates by emailing them to communications@serraschool.org or going to the Alumni Survey Page on the Serra Catholic School website.

Our next Alumni event will be running the Cotton Candy booth at the Harvest Festival this Sunday, October 26th from 11 AM-6:00 PM.  If you are in the area, please make sure to stop by and say Hello!  We will also have a sign-up sheet so that we can keep you informed about the other events that will be coming in the future, particularly as we get closer to our 20th Anniversary Celebration!
