The UT student athletes continue to score big in the classroom. The University of Toledo has made a select list of 11 athletic programs with the highest grade point averages. Below is a link to the article on "thebestcolleges" website: http://www.thebestcolleges.org/11-colleges-with-the-smartest-athletes/

Of UT's 373 student-athletes, 231 earned a 3.00 or higher GPA, a rate of 61% which marks the eighteenth consecutive semester in which over half achieved this status. Twenty six student-athletes obtained a perfect 4.00 this semester, and 131 or over a third of all student-athletes secured spots on the Dean's List for achieving at least a 3.50. Twelve teams (listed below) earned a GPA of at least 3.00.

A collective disciplined approach to education earned the Women's Soccer team top honors for the highest semester team GPA with a 3.616. The Women's Swimming team ended the semester a close second place at 3.550 and the Volleyball program finished third with a 3.549 team GPA.
