June 2014
Greetings!
Sunshine and warmth. Long, leisurely days. Picnics and barbeques. Bike rides and wooded hikes. Locally-grown fruits and veggies. Live music at sunset. Just a few of the glorious things we love about June in Maine. We hope this finds you enjoying all those and more as we welcome back summer.

Hike & Bike to Support the Maine you Love!
Hike & Bike logo Going for a hike or a bike ride this summer can help make Maine a better place to live. MaineShare's annual "Virtual Hike and Bike" event allows participants to choose their own hike, bike ride, or walk to raise money for MaineShare. It works like this: you collect pledges, go out and hike or bike on a day that is convenient, and send in your donations. The virtual format saves time, paper, and fuel while offering more flexibility for participants. With no expenses involved, every dollar goes to MaineShare, to support their work raising funds for 42 statewide groups working for the environment, safe food and water, and equal rights for all the people of Maine. Learn more about MaineShare and register for the Hike and Bike event today.
We're Hiring!
We are expanding our team and have an exciting opportunity for a sales and marketing professional. Do you live and love  a healthy & sustainable lifestyle? Are you passionate about helping Maine's businesses to grow and prosper? Do you have a solid track record of sales and marketing success? Then we want to talk to you. The position is based in our Portland office, though we are open to other locations for the right candidate.

Book Your Fall Fundraiser Today and Earn More Money!
We know it's hard to think about fall when summer has just started, but we're now scheduling SunriseGuide fundraisers for next school year. Selling the SunriseGuide is a great way to raise money for class projects, sports teams, special events, school trips, activities and clubs, and more. And if you schedule your 2014-15 fundraiser by June 20th, you'll earn even more - you'll keep $10 for every book you sell, regardless of how many are sold! Choose a product you feel good about selling, while earning big bucks for your school...that's what we call a win-win!
