CREW Network Delegate's Article |
by Deby Jordan CREW Delegate & President-Elect
Vice President of Commercial Banking,
Roseville Bank of Commerce
I was fortunate to attend the 2013 CREW Network Spring Leadership Summit & Council Meeting. Delegates' second business meeting of the year started off with an important opportunity for delegates and chapter leaders to connect with their counterparts across North America and expand business and chapter networks. This was an opportunity to learn what other chapters are doing to provide value to their members and to establish their presence in their local commercial real estate community through their current chapter activities.
Gail Ayers, CEO/President of CREW Network and Foundation delivered a beautiful message at lunch. She outlined the importance of KISS (keep it simple sister); women supporting, mentoring and sponsoring one another. She wrapped it up with the most important three F's, which stands for the best practice of always be fair, friendly and firm to one another.
The delegates participated in a professional development session focused on strategically networking for success. The session was presented by Christine Spray, President of Strategic Catalyst, Inc. She shared her valuable networking information on how to be more effective at building relationships while building business. Her presentation covered; why networking skills are crucial, connecting influences everything, success all starts with your attitude, connecting beyond words, the 30 second introduction, great ways to maximize your networking and much more. A special gift, she has provided her power point to all CREW members, see links below:

I personally won't miss the 2013 CREW Network Convention & Marketplace, October 9-12, 2013, in Dallas, Texas. I hope to see you there!
