CREW Sacramento President 2013
I am honored by the opportunity to act as our organization's President for 2013. I am a strong advocate for what this organization means to its members and I plan to build upon our success.
CREW Sacramento has been a haven of development for members over the years, including myself. I have met important contacts for my business, learned critical information relevant to my work, and (maybe best of all) I have also developed life-long friends. As I contemplate the benefits and resources provided to me by my CREW Sacramento membership - I believe it can be summed up in one word: CONNECTIONS. My connections through CREW have brought business, information and friends.
It is my sincere hope that each and every member of CREW receives similar benefits from their membership. These connections are the backbone of our organization and why we all come together at meetings and events. The more successful our connections, the more we want to get together and enjoy the outcome.
Thus, my goals for 2013, although simple, are aimed at the essence of what CREW stands for - making connections and enjoying all of the benefits that result from our connections. As such I will be focusing on a few key components to help drive our members' connections.
Networking: I will put an emphasis on Networking and encourage all members to communicate on a meaningful level to maximize the results from our connections. We are an organization rich with resources and incredible members that represent all aspects of the commercial real estate industry. Let's work together to benefit our clients and each other. Look for some new networking opportunities throughout the year!
Mentoring: I believe the best way to grow new members in our organization is by providing a model of how to be successful. This is a powerful tool that can be offered by our membership. We are a strong organization that is fortunate to have long-term members that are not only successful in their own right, but, maybe more importantly, continue to support our organization and make themselves available as remarkable resources. Tapping into the wealth of knowledge and experience found in our own membership, we can offer training and critical information to our growing organization, which can help take members and the organization to a new level.
We have already embarked on our first project aimed at mentoring: NextGen. This particular program is aimed at our younger members, or those with less than three years of experience in the industry. This is an extraordinary opportunity to learn from some of CREW Sacramento's outstanding members. We are so fortunate to have these resources; please take every opportunity to take advantage of what our membership offers - I promise you won't be disappointed.
So, for 2013 - let's get connected! Let's get to know each other well and take our organization to another level. I look forward to working with an outstanding Board to achieve our goals and to working with all members in developing business resources and friendships!
It's all about you - let's get connected.
