The Virginia Juvenile Justice Association (VJJA) is excited to recognize detention and residential facility professionals  throughout the Commonwealth by celebrating, VJJA's "Detention, Correctional, and Residential Week" during the week of May 5-9. 2014.

Detention centers, residential facilities and correctional centers play a significant role in making the Commonwealth a safe place to live and work. The duties of facility staff  are both challenging and rewarding. These professionals provide not only safety and security for our young offenders, they also provide guidance, education and rehabilitative services that enhance skills and reduce recidivism. They maintain a focus on building successful youth and facilitating successful juvenile re-entry to communities.

We are pleased to announce that in recognition of DC&R Week, VJJA randomly selected and awarded the following prizes to detention, residential and JCC staff.
