Ideas and Inspirations for living                                         September 5, 2014

The days are finally starting to cool and the nights are becoming even cooler, as well. A walk through my yard today revealed the benefits of the cooler temperatures, not to mention the rains we have had recently.  I am beginning to see signs of fall.  The trees, shrubs, and grass are growing great.  Unfortunately the weeds are growing real fast, too.  My next walk through will be with a sprayer of herbicide. I want to be sure to kill them before they go to seed and spread my problem around.

A question often asked this time of year is "How can I get all my green tomatoes to ripen?"  By decreasing the water you apply to the plants you can promote the ripening of tomatoes.
Happy fall gardening!
