Calling All Baseball Fans! Let's Knit the Season!
Spring has begun, and baseball season is here! Are you game to make new friends? On deck to learn new knitting skills? Share the baseball season with other fans? This Knit the Season Knit Along (aka Knit-A-Long or KAL) will hit it out of the ballpark!
With Yvonne as your KAL Team Manager, you'll knit your favorite team's 2016 season into a shawl, scarf, cowl or tube - it's up to you! Using your team's colors and your choice of yarn and needles, you'll customize your project to reflect your team's wins and losses at home and on the road. Watch the season and colors unfold as we start this shawl in these first few weeks of the season and finish at the end of the season. When we finish, you'll have made new friends, created a unique and beautiful accessory and learned new and cool skills along the way. These skills may open a whole new world of knitting possibilities for you. Yvonne will throw out the First Pitch on Thursday, May 19th at 6:00 pm. She'll be in the shop, available to answer your questions, explain the levels of knitting (from single to homerun), and will help you register to participate. She'll also schedule various times and days for you to meet as a group to work on your projects, to talk baseball, and enjoy the exciting season!
- Can't make it on Thursday, May 19th? No problem! Yvonne will be available to answer questions on several other dates (to be announced), so email or call the shop to let us know you want to participate, and we'll make sure you receive the First Pitch!
All eligible* participants will be entered in a drawing to win a $25 gift certificate to the shop, as well as other special prizes upon completion of your KAL project. We hope you'll be inspired to join the fun and persevere to complete your beautiful accessory!
It's free to participate. To qualify for any prizes, we respectfully request that you use yarn from A Yarn Less Raveled (and we have many team color possibilities). *For more KAL details, support available, and prize eligibility, please click here to see our Special Events page.
