Greetings!
Welcome to our first issue of SNIPpets, our Spay/Neuter Implementation Program (SNIP) newsletter. We're so happy to be able to send this to all our friends who love dogs and cats and want to see them all have great homes. Please enjoy our success stories below, and know that we're working hard to help local pet owners to spay and neuter their dogs and cats, so all our pets can be wanted and cared for. Our Rescue of the Month, BonBon, has captured our hearts but we know we have to find her a great home. She'd be a wonderful companion. Please use this button to forward SNIPpets to friends. Our goal is to build a strong community of pet lovers to help us find homes for unwanted pets and to manage the population of dogs and cats in our area by providing funds and transportation for spay and neuter. Rescue of the Month BonBon BonBon found her way to our neighbors' yard, but they can't keep her, so we're looking for a great home for this cute dog. She looks like a Yorkie, but a little larger (16 pounds), so there may be some other breed in there. She's friendly, smart, and is quite playful with our other dogs. She's very interested in our cats, doesn't quite know what to make of them, but seems to like them a lot. If you or someone you know would like to meet BonBon or adopt her, please click here to send us an email. We'll respond as quickly as possible. |
It's a Love Match Lobo We found Lobo in a local park, a frequent dumping ground for dogs and cats in our area. He's a young dog, not more than a year, and once he got some groceries in him and a good grooming, he was so lively and happy that we knew he'd make a fabulous addition to someone's family. Breanne Morris, a long-time client of Old Canyon Farm, and her new hubbie Brandon fell in love, and the feeling is, obviously, mutual! Lobo is now with them in his forever home, and we couldn't have asked for a better match. |
Happy Together Rocky & Shadow These two adorable puppies came to us around the same time; they were found flea- and lice-ridden at the local park. We called them Izzy (right) and Mr. Baby. Such different personalities, though! Izzy is a real rascal, running everywhere and into everything. Mr. Baby is just a laid-back little guy, taking life as easy as possible. They now live with Kaitlyn, her two brothers (and parents, of course!), and they are called Rocky and Shadow. We are so glad they were able to find a home together! |
From Rags to Riches Little Bit This poor little darling had about the worst matting we've ever seen--sticks and burrs buried in hair right up to her skin, every inch of her forming one giant gnarly ball of hair. To our surprise, underneath all that hair was an beautiful little Maltese! She was named Rags by her owners (who agreed to let us take her), but we called her Little Bit because she's so tiny. She couldn't be cuter! She was very quickly adopted by one of Carolyn's clients. As you can see, she has a new wardrobe, instead of all that hair. What a great outcome! |

SNIP is now 501(c)(3)!
| SNIP has received our 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS! This means, you guessed it, we can now take donations from our pet-loving friends. If you would like to donate any amount from $1 up, please click the button below to make a safe, secure donation through PayPal. You don't need a PayPal account to donate, just follow the instructions on the PayPal screen.
You can also mail a check to the address at the bottom of this newsletter if you feel more comfortable.
Remember, each spay or neuter can save possibly hundreds of dogs and cats from abandonment and mistreatment.
All donations go directly to the care of the pets, their veterinary bills, and the minimal costs of keeping the organization running. From time to time, we'll have special projects that we'll announce in SNIPpets, and you'll be able to designate where you want your donations to be applied.
We thank you in advance for considering giving to SNIP, when we know you have many uses for your hard-earned money.

About SNIP
Spay/Neuter Implementation Program (SNIP) is a 501(c)(3) corporation promoting the spay and neuter of domestic pets in the Littlerock and Lake Los Angeles communities of Southern California. We provide a unique service in that we pick up pets from the owners, take them to the vet for neutering and other verterinary services if necessary, and return them if the owner is able to care for them; if not, we find them homes. SNIP bears the entire cost of the spay or neuter. We rely on the expert assistance given by the High Desert Animal Care/ Littlerock Pet Clinic partnership and the donations of pet lovers who understand the vital importance of keeping pet population under control so pets are not abandoned in the desert or neglected and mistreated at home. We also work with FixNation in the Trap/Neuter/Return of feral cats. We want all pets to be wanted, cherished, and lovingly cared for!
