Featured Resource: Summer Program Opportunities

Winter break is a great time for students to start making summer research plans.  We know that many KU students stay on campus to devote extra time to their ongoing research, while others look for summer research programs off-campus as a way to explore graduate school opportunities, be close to home, or gain a new perspective on their field.

If you're planning to conduct research this summer, make sure to start looking into programs over winter break. Many programs will have January and February deadlines for applicants.  As you explore your summer options you might talk to your faculty mentor, meet with someone at our Center, and/or check out some of these websites:

Kansas Undergraduate Research
Day at the Capitol

Undergraduate students of all majors are encouraged to apply to participate in the Kansas Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol on February 18, 2016.

Five KU students will be selected to join their peers from the other Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) public four-year universities. Students will present their research in poster format to KBOR members, legislators, and other members of state government. The purpose of this event is to demonstrate the unique opportunities undergraduate students have to participate with faculty members in research at KBOR universities.
