Featured Resource: Fall Class Visits

Are you teaching a class this fall? We would love to visit your class for 5-10 minutes to tell your students about undergraduate research at KU. Sign up for a visit from one of our student Research Ambassadors using our online form or email us at cur@ku.edu

Apply now to be a KU
Research Ambassador

Is research an important part of your KU experience?  Do you want to share that experience and help others get involved?
KU's Research Ambassadors help their peers and potential KU students understand:
What is research?
How do I get involved?
How can the Center for Undergraduate Research help?

Each KU Research Ambassador is expected to:
  • Attend a session at the start of the fall and spring semesters to meet the other Research Ambassadors, learn more about undergraduate research at KU, and prepare to represent the Center for Undergraduate Research at events and during class visits. These sessions include tips and practice with public speaking and communicating your research to a broad audience.
  • Visit 3 classes per semester and take part in one Center-sponsored event per semester.
  • Help out at the Undergraduate Research Symposium to be held on April 23, 2016.

Preference will be given to students who have completed two or more semesters of research and are familiar with the Center's current programs, including the Undergraduate Research Awards (UGRAs) and the Undergraduate Research Symposium.  Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply!

Apply online by August 28th, 2015. Email any questions to cur@ku.edu
