Instructors: Encourage your students to attend the Symposium!
KU's Undergraduate Research Symposium (April 26th) features some of the best undergraduate scholars on campus, and we want to make sure that their fellow students are there to hear about the amazing research being done by their peers.  Regardless of whether they are doing research themselves, going to the Symposium will open up students' eyes to their own capabilities and the opportunities available to them on campus.

To encourage students to attend the Symposium, we'd like to assist instructors who offer class credit for attending the Symposium by providing documentation of student attendance. We'll email you a list of your students who attended--all you have to do is let us know that you're offering extra credit and tell your students about it!

Beginning students can participate in the Symposium by:
  • Hearing about their fellow students' research and creative projects
  • Attending a "Getting Started in Research" panel discussion
  • Entering to win a $25 giveaway

Research Experience Program

Students--help make your undergraduate research experience stand out on resumes and grad school applications: apply for the Research Experience Program!  Students complete the certificate by taking coursework, doing research, and sharing that research through such venues as the Undergraduate Research Symposium.  Getting certified will earn you an official designation on your KU transcript.  If you're graduating this spring, be sure to turn in your application by May 9.
