New Office, New Website
The Center for Undergraduate Research has moved into our new office in 151 Strong to be close to other experiential learning offices.

Come visit our new office!  Together with the Center for Civic & Social Responsibility (150 Strong) and the Office of First Year Experience (145 Strong), we will be hosting an open house on Friday, December 7, from 3:00 to 5:00.  Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to stop by.

Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol
On February 20, 2013, the Center for Undergraduate Research will take a select group of 10 KU undergraduate students to present their research at the state capitol in Topeka.  The purpose of the event is to communicate to legislators the unique educational experiences available to undergraduates at a premier research university, as well as the value of undergraduate research to the state of Kansas. 

We are currently accepting applications for students interested in participating in this event.  Students in all disciplines are encouraged to apply, so please forward this information to anyone you know who might be interested.

Announcing Student Travel Awards
The Center for Undergraduate Research is excited to announce the availability of Undergraduate Student Travel Awards.  These awards will reimburse students up to $500 to present their research or creative products at a professional conference.  Applications are reviewed on the 15th of every month; students are encouraged to apply early to ensure that funds are still available. Funding for the Student Travel Awards is generously provided through the Student Senate's Educational Opportunity Fund.
