New Students Arrive for the 2015-2016 School Year
The class of 2019, as well as other students who have transferred to Oakwood University, are arriving on campus for the 2015-2016 school year. Today's activities for the female students, such as Monica Borba from California, included moving in to the newly renovated Bessie Carter Hall. The male freshmen, including Cleavon Davis from Maryland, moved into Holland Hall.
A gallery of photos of this first day at Oakwood is available online on Oakwood's Flickr gallery. We briefly asked several incoming students why they chose to attend Oakwood, and we posted their responses on our Facebook page.
| These students and their parents eagerly arrived early for new student registration in Cunningham Hall. |
New Student Orientation continues through Tuesday evening, August 18. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 19.

Correction
In last week's issue, we inadvertently omitted the name of Oakwood University Church in the announcement about the "Back to School Bash" held at Mason Court Community Center. The event was jointly sponsored by the Oakwood University Church, Breath of Life Ministries, and WJOU 90.1 FM.
