For 50 years Capital has proved its academic excellence and outstanding performance in activities and clubs. Turning bare blackboards into smart boards, empty walls into filled halls, and graduating class of 167 seniors to 2015's expected class of 462 seniors.
Capital is a growing school and making its mark among some of the best institutions by being a part of the top 1,600 high schools in the nation by the Washington Post for four years in a row and hopefully soon a fifth.
Capital High School is located in the Boise School District, which houses students grades 10-12 and gives them the opportunity for a superior education.
Boise School District's vision for the future is, "We graduate each student prepared for college, career and citizenship."

The students occupying Capital High School are trying to make something more of Capital than just an institution composed of cinder blocks and young people.
Each year the voices of Capital High students make the plain cinder block walls ring with eagerness to learn and make new connections with people and their education.
Former student Ethan Page said, "While walking through the halls, you could observe the unique personalities and accomplishments of the students that make Capital a truly great school. Students express these unique personalities through a variety of diverse programs and activities. In addition to learning new skills, students develop friendships that will last a lifetime."
As Capital is celebrating its 50th anniversary, the class of 2015 is beginning the end of its journey to greater accomplishments and the end of their high school careers.
