Boise School District and Boise Education Association
Approve Contract for 2014 - 2015

(BOISE) - The Boise School District and the Boise Education Association (BEA) recently approved the contract for the 2014 - 2015 school year. Highlights of the contract, which was unanimously approved by the Boise School Board of Trustees and received 95% support from BEA membership, include:

  • 1.5% increase on the base salary
  • 0.5% one-time payment for all employees

"The Boise School District and the BEA are involved in an ongoing process of interest-based problem solving and negotiations. An essential element of this model is the trust between parties," said Superintendent Dr. Don Coberly. "This process has proven to be highly effective both at the bargaining table and in building our collaborative relationship to address issues affecting the District and its educators."

Stephanie Myers, President of the BEA added, "The District and the Association teams have shared values of honoring experience, education and base salary increases. Our relationship also allows us to discuss and problem-solve issues surrounding Boise School District employees and their families."
