Here's a list of Community Education classes beginning next week (Feb. 24-27). Register up to the day a class begins!
"Let's Eat, Grandma" or "Let's Eat Grandma" - Why Grammar and Punctuation Count!: Clear, understandable writing is important regardless of your age or field of employment. Students will gain a better understanding of both grammar and punctuation, an appreciation of their importance and where to go for assistance. Click here to learn more and register.
Adoption 101: Ever considered adoption? Adoption 101 is a class that teaches participants about the adoption process and types of adoptions. Autism/ADHD - Correct the Imbalance: Learn the latest on how integrating the hemispheres of the brain, supplementation, and correcting food intolerances can reduce the symptoms and behaviors associated with Autism and ADHD. Taught by
Emily Yuen, a Certified NAET Practitioner and Asian Bodywork Therapist, Diplomate (NCCAOM). Emily is a graduate of Evergreen State College, where she specialized in Applied Asian medicine, as well as a graduate of the Wellspring School for Healing Arts in Boise, Idaho. How to Convey Compassion: This class will equip participants to better provide a caring response to those they meet who are at turning points in their lives: a challenging new medical diagnosis, loss, divorce, unemployment are just a few of many times when people reach out to others. CPR Certification - American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI): Learn the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Heartsaver CPR procedures for performing Heartsaver CPR and methods for assisting choking patients; this class will also cover the AED (Automated External Defibrillators) used in schools.
