Tim Standlee: Principal, Borah High School
Mr. Standlee is a graduate of Capital High School and has 23 years experience helping students and teachers succeed in the Boise School District. He has served students as a health and physical education teacher/coach (Capital, Collister, Jackson, Koelsch), junior high school assistant principal (Les Bois), assistant high school principal (Boise and Borah) and junior high school principal (currently West). Tim has also led the District's Secondary Summer School Program as Principal.
Mr. Standlee's extensive background will serve him well as he works with Borah's staff and students. He is dedicated to the District's Vision of seeing that each student is provided every opportunity to succeed beyond high school - whether it be college, career and/or citizenship. He believes that the cornerstone of academic success is excellent instruction, and is excited to work with Borah's top-notch staff. He is also anticipating the opportunity to engage the Lion parents and community. Mr. Standlee will continue to build on the solid foundation of educational values and academic success already in place at Borah.
Tim has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eastern Oregon State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho.
Effective the start of the 2014-15 school year, Mr. Standlee will replace Bonita Hammer as the Principal of Borah High School. Mrs. Hammer is retiring at the end of the 2013-14 school year.
