Help Us Welcome...
Lynelle and Al Harding!

Yes, you guessed it! These two are married and we are so blessed to have both of them join our MIA staff this year.

Lynelle Harding is our new Orchestra Director and comes to us with 18 years of experience in teaching Strings and Orchestra.  Highlights of her career include 15 years as concert master of the Greeley Philharmonic in Colorado, 16 years of teaching at the university level and most recently 5 years of teaching at an international school in South Korea.

Our new band teacher, Dr. Al Harding, is a low brass specialist whose major instrument is the euphonium.  He earned his doctorate in music education from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. His Masters and Bachelor degrees are from Eastern New Mexico University, Portales. Dr. Harding most recently taught at the Yongsan International School of Seoul in South Korea.

Please help us to welcome the Hardings and make them feel at home.

Clubs & Afterschool Activties
Middle School Art Club

Are you looking for a place to let your creativity shine? Do you love
art? Are you interested in learning more about art?

If you answered yes to any of those questions...

Join the MCS Art Club | TUESDAYS AT LUNCH | Now - Nov. 10th

Projects may include:
Clay whistles, op art, color wheel, perspective, etc.
(we will decide on the first project as a club)

Sign up in the middle school office before the first session.

Club is limited to 15 students (however, we will add more if necessary).

Worship Discipleship Group
Every Wednesday, 8:00 -8 :45 a.m.

Join us in the Learning Commons
(formerly the library), for a time of worship. Just show up ready with a heart for worship (no need to sign up in advance).

During this time, students will learn what it truly means to be a worshipper of God with a lens for applying that knowledge toward leading worship. It will include reading and discussions on systematic theology, servant leadership, and biblical understanding of who God is and why He's worthy of worship.

Students participating in this discipleship group do not need to be on the worship team but all who want to learn more about worshipping our God are invited to attend. All middle school students, 6th through 8th grade are invited to participate! If you have any questions, please contact Mr. McCall at [email protected]

Noteworthy News
Alumni Student (2011), Alexis McAdam, has joined the cast at Disneyland as a host in the Character Department. She was recently cast and will be performing in "A Christmas Fantasy Parade" as Lady Tremaine (Cinderella's evil stepmother) on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Just last summer, Alexis was accepted into the NYU-Tisch Musical Theatre Summer Program.  There were over 700 applicants, and only 16 girls accepted.  She was immersed in the New York based program, living in the dorms and making new friends, for four weeks. She had the time of her life! We're thrilled for her and the incredible opportunities God has in store for her.
Former student, Ashley Lew has become a very accomplished dancer. Ashley began dancing at the age of 3. She currently attends Southland Ballet Academy in California where she trains under the direction of Hanna Przyludzka-Karacic and Salwa Rizkalla.

Ashley attended her first summer intensive at The Paris Opera Ballet this year. She plans to attend the Royal Ballet in London for their summer program in 2016 on a full scholarship.

Ashley has performed in many productions, including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Alice in Wonderland, and Sleeping Beauty. Just this year, Ashley was awarded the Hope Award at the Youth American Grand Prix in Los Angeles, and was one of the top 12 finalists in New York.

She continues to work hard everyday to use ballet to praise God and shine His love to others.
