A Note from Laura McMillen
- MCS Mom & Ladies Luncheon Chair -

I have chosen to serve our school this year as the chair for coordinating this event because I love the tradition of the Ladies Luncheon providing an opportunity to pause our busy lives and give us the opportunity to ponder how our families can live more missionally or service minded. The annual "Ladies Luncheon" is a luncheon event for Mariners moms, and their guests, coming together to celebrate the up-coming season of gratitude and experience the joy of community with other Christian women. We gather to intentionally connect and explore a missional topic each year. This year will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about practical ways to become the "hands and feet of Jesus," as we learn about the needs of the homeless and marginalized neighbors in local communities. We will have incredible speakers from Working Wardrobes, Project Hope Alliance, and Trellis.

Please come! I look forward to seeing you there.

Head of School Search
Online - Parent Survey Enclosed

Dear Parents,

Thank you to the many parents who attended one of our Head of School Search focus groups this week.  The purpose of both the survey and focus groups is to surface key indicators of our school health along with areas of challenge and potential growth. We hope you will take the time to complete the survey linked below.

Ultimately, your feedback will help in determining the ideal profile for the person to lead MCS going forward as our Head of School. We appreciate your time.

And thank you to our wonderful PTF Fall Festival Chairs for their hard work and dedication (see last week's E-News).

Grand Surprise

Mariners Institute for the Arts has placed a "Grand Surprise" in the MCS auditorium - a new GRAND PIANO to be exact!

We would love to thank Mr. and Mrs. Richard Finn for their wonderful donation.

Our new grand piano will be dedicated to Mariners Institute for the Arts at the December 11th performance of "Messiah for Young Voices" and our All School Christmas Chapel on December 19th.  Please join us for either event to celebrate this blessed donation.
