Legislation Update 


On September 26, 2016 Governor Jerry Brown signed into law, the CSLEA FOP Lodge 77 Co-Sponsored Assembly Bill 2165 by Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D-Alameda) - Firearms: prohibitions: exemptions.

Attached is the enrolled version of the bill for reference and a link to the Governor's press release.
 


The Governor also took action on the following bills:

 
AB 1730 (Atkins) Human trafficking: minors was vetoed.
 
AB 1761 (Weber) Human trafficking victims: affirmative defense was signed.
 
AB 1762 (Campos) Human trafficking: victims: vacating convictions was vetoed.
 
AB 2498 (Bonta) Human trafficking was signed.
 
SB 869 (Hill) Firearms: securing handguns in vehicles was signed.
 
SB 1064 (Hancock) Sexually exploited minors was signed.

Veto letters can be found attached to the Governor's press release next to the bill number.
