The Legislature worked just beyond the clock on the final day of the 2015-16 Legislative Session, adjourning in the early morning hours of September 1st and inching past the August 31st midnight deadline. Of the more than 2,300 bills introduced in 2016, approximately 1,300 passed out of the Legislature and were sent to the Governor. In the final week of session alone, lawmakers approved over 800 of those measures.

As I have reported at recent conferences and meetings, We are watching all 53 U.S. House of Representative seats, one U.S. Senate race, 80 State Assembly seats and 20 (which is half) of the State Senate races,  plus, we are watching 17 state ballot propositions, numerous county elections all on the November 8 ballot, not to mention the critical office of the President of the United States which is turning out to be an election for the record books.
