DRY TIMES: A SHORT STORY

Much appreciation to everyone who participated in KTA's Spring Photo Contest! The winning photograph (the one with the most "LIKES" on Facebook) was taken by Phil Williams on Minister Creek Trail and will be featured at the top of each edition of The Keystone Hiker (and on the top of KTA's Facebook page) for the remainder of the Spring! KTA HIKES THE SMOKIES

It's not too late to sign up for KTA's trip to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park from June 30-July 6! GSMNP has hundreds of miles of hiking trails, including a large portion of the Appalachian Trail. SUPER HIKER SPOTLIGHT: ROXANNA STRINE
Roxanna Renee Strine (trail name "Riverdawg") age 58, hails from Wrightsville, PA, where she currently coaches Cross Country at Eastern York H.S. A retired postal worker, Roxanna has spent nearly her entire life on river hills, and has been an avid trail runner since 1994. This is her story.

100-MILE PROFILE: DAVID & ALYSON
David LaVerne, 45, and Alyson Davis, 35, are avid hikers and environmentalists. Both were born and raised in Scranton, PA, where they hiked as children with their family and with their Scouting troops. Today they continue to hike as often as possible, with each-other and with their children, although Alyson's battle with arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis sometimes makes hiking more of a challenge. OAXACA, MEXICO HIKING TRIP
