President's Message
by Thyra Sperry, President
Many thanks for the feedback concerning the natural gas development on the Old Loggers Path. This is just one of the trails that KTA is striving to protect.
The Loyalsock Trail, a designated KTA hiking trail in Lycoming and Sullivan counties, is also in the natural gas development area.

Sustainer's Circle: Bob Fromme, Jr.
Bob Fromme, Jr., shown in the background serving a hungry hiker, has been a Keystone Trails Association member since 2008. Over the past three years, Bob has provided free "Trail Magic" to a total 253 Appalachian Trail thru-hikers. Bob Fromme is also one of Keystone Trails Association's most ardent supporters, as both a volunteer and a founding member of KTA's Sustainer's Circle. On October 3, 2012, KTA received a $5,000 contribution from Bob. He wrote: "Life is made full through pleasant memories. The KTA achieves that goal by fellowship, education and preservation of our hiking trails." Read more.

Learning through Service

Environmentalism is a paramount passion of mine, and I hope to some day work for the National Park Service. I am currently writing my thesis on America's need to revitalize our relationship to Nature in order to evoke a healthier and more sustainable future. Read more.
