Cookie Season begins February 7! 


Girl Scouts will be in your neighborhood taking your order for your favorite Girl Scout cookies. Still just $4 per box or 5 for $20 (+ tax in Idaho). To connect with a Girl Scout in your neighborhood or to get details about the upcoming cookie rallies contact cookies@gsewni.org.  


The Cookie Program is a great way for Girl Scouts to learn about the 5 Skills for Girls. We are so excited to once again offer the Super Six cookie varieties-Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles and Do-si-dos.

HER DAY-Defy the Ordinary-Uniquely ME!

at the Spokane Program Center


At the annual HER Day (Healthy, Energetic, Resourceful) event girls learn to make great choices by attending workshops centered around building self-esteem and creating a completely healthy YOU!


The fun and pamper day is for girls who are in grades K-12 and offers sessions unique to each age group. You can change the way you look or you can change the way the world looks at girls. The
self-esteem workshops include good nutrition, style and fitness, friendships and family, relationship building and much more. 


Lunch will be provided for girls in grades 6-12  (sub sandwich, chips, fruit or veggies and a drink).
Refer to the times and prices for each age group below. Join us for a day of pampering and learn how to take care of yourself inside and out. 


Grades K-3: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Girl Scout Hostel, $10 per girl (SWAG included)

Grades 4-5: 1-3:30 p.m., Girl Scout Hostel, $10 per girl (SWAG included)

Grades 6-12: 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Girl Scout Program Center, $20 per girl (lunch and SWAG included)

Register for Women's Weekend 2014!
Imagine that it's really warm, you're at Lake Coeur d'Alene, relaxing and being pampered for an entire weekend. That's exactly what Women's Weekend is all about! Women's Weekend 2014 is September 5-7, the weekend after Labor Day. The cost is $225 per person.


The weekend includes all your accommodations, gourmet cuisine and many activities (some activities such as massage have an added fee). This annual fundraising event is held at Camp Four Echoes at Lake Coeur d'Alene and is for women only! Funds raised from the weekend benefit girl camperships, scholarships and programming. Give yourself a gift this year and get the Early Bird discount. Register today!

New Employees Join the Council


Jennifer Young has joined GSEWNI as a Membership, Volunteer and Program coordinator. She will be working primarily in Idaho with concentration in the Coeur d'Alene to Lewiston area corridor. Jennifer grew up in the west Chicago suburbs. After graduating from high school she attended Western State Colorado University and received a B.S. in Outdoor Leadership and Resort Management. After college Jennifer worked for a therapeutic wilderness program for troubled youth; spending eight days at a time living primitively and backpacking in the north Georgia wilderness.  She then moved to New Mexico to work as a district executive and camp director for the Great Southwest Council - Boy Scouts of America. Jennifer is a certified dog trainer and loves horseback riding.  


Marcy Mastel returns to GSEWNI as a Membership, Volunteer and Program coordinator. 
She has an extensive background and experience in professional Girl Scouting from several other councils and is excited to use that experience to work closely with the service units and volunteers that she supports in north Idaho and northeast Washington. Marcy is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves geocaching, canoeing and camping and is the mother of a first grade Girl Scout Daisy.
