With this December issue of E-messages, we'd like to wish you a happy holiday season from all of us at Girl Scouts Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

It is with your support that we are able to provide opportunities for more than 8,200 girls throughout our council to reach their individual potential through Girl Scouting.

On behalf of our staff and board, thank you and we wish you the very best of holiday seasons.

Hurricane Sandy Relief
Eight Girl Scout councils suffered damage from Hurricane Sandy and are working to recover while also supporting their communities. We know how much Girl Scouts, young and old, want to help. We urge you to give to the councils that were affected.  You may do so by clicking here and then choosing one of the eight councils, or, you can give to GSUSA and they will distribute the gifts to the councils with the greatest need.

Recently, the Girl Scouts Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho board of directors met and unanimously decided each of them would make a financial gift to help this effort. They are putting up a challenge to every family in the council to do the same. They would like to issue this challenge with a participation date of December 31, 2012. Whether you can give a little or give a lot, please consider helping these councils recover from this devastating storm and rebound even stronger.

As always, any money earning activities must go through an approval process so please contact the office if your troop would like to get involved.
