FImetrix has begun exploring the importance and characteristics of Thought Leadership.  This term has received much buzz in the  industry, and it begs the question, just what is Thought Leadership as it relates to bank-to-bank transaction services?

In order to better understand this concept, we asked senior-level bankers to rate the importance of different factors related to Thought Leadership in our recent Market Issues 2012 survey.  The most important factor (rated important by 9 in 10 respondents) was found to be "Commitment to & Investment in the Business."  

This finding parallels the results of our regional research studies, where "Commitment to the Long-Term Relationship" has emerged as a global driver of customer satisfaction.

On May 15th-16th, the Euro Banking Association (EBA) will be hosting their annual "EBAday 2012" in Edinburgh, Scotland.  Doug Ziurys will be moderating a roundtable discussion on the topic "Supporting customers in a dynamic payments and transaction environment."  The two panel guests for this roundtable will be John Ball, Global Head of Cash Management, Financial Institution Sales at Deutsche Bank and Alexander Caviezel, Global Head of International Expansion, Treasury Services at JPMorgan Chase.  The conference program is available at www.ebaday.eu and information about the EBA is available at www.abe-eba.eu. 

 

In the coming year, FImetrix will interview senior executives at over 300 banks throughout Asia/Pacific Rim, Western Europe, and Latin America on their provider network for cash and trade services.  Field work has commenced on interviewing banks in Asia/Pacific Rim, and results are expected to be available in June 2012.  FImetrix is also gearing up to enter the field in Western Europe for its study on Euro/Pound Services this month, and anticipates being in the field in Latin America this fall.

FImetrix is also presently conducting a global review on the competitive position of AUD and NZD providers.
