Strong Foods For Muscling Up Your Menu
By Grace O
Even if you don't consider yourself an athlete or body-builder--as I certainly do not--you should be concerned with muscle health. Skeletal muscles are the tissues that enable your body to move, whether it's gardening, a stroll in the park or a triathlon. Nerve Pain Could Be a Food Allergy
By Dr. Mark Rosenberg
Every now and then a patient will come in complaining of mysterious pains, and sometimes numbness, that seem to be unrelated to exercise, injury, medications (blood pressure, cholesterol), or prolonged cramped sleep positions, etc. I tell these patients who have these complaints that their quirky pains just might be caused by something they haven't considered...a food allergy. In Africa and Asia, where moringa plants grow in abundance, people add the tiny leaves to soups and stews just before serving. The leaves are wilted by the hot liquid but are not fully cooked, so their vitamins stay intact. I also like the flavor of moringa combined with squash, eggplant, and okra (another African ingredient). For this soup, any smoked fish, such as salmon, can be used. To make this soup vegan, use vegetable stock in place of the chicken stock and omit the fish or fish sauce. To give this soup an Asian flair, add 1 tablespoon of ginger root, cut into strips.Get The Recipe!
