Giving Thanks
In mid-October, I lost a friend and colleague who served on a CEO Roundtable with me. Brian left behind his wife and 2 boys who are young teenagers. It is sad how death reminds us to love the ones close to us and is a reminder of how short life can be. This is something we should remember daily, but often get sucked into the trials and tribulations of running a business, managing a staff or trying to keep our house and family running smoothly. It is easy to get off balance and not slow down to give thanks. So this month's newsletter is simply a reminder to do just that. I have no profound words of wisdom other than appreciate, kiss and hug the ones close to you and give thanks for the good things in your life.
I want to give thanks to my staff- Brett, Lisa, Margaret, Debra, Mattie, Alisha, and Nicholi are truly a blessing to me. Part-Time Pros would not be where it is today without their hard work and dedication to our mission. We are also grateful to the many businesses that have trusted the search and hiring process to us. Without you, we would not be successful. I would like to encourage you to thank your staff but also reflect on what is truly important. I would also like to give thanks for my supportive family, my business mentors and advisors, the CEO roundtable members, and my two precious girls who have helped me remember to continue to laugh and play. Enjoy this month and be grateful for the good things in your life.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Carey
