Today is a Brand New Day!

Good morning Friend, Good morning my friends! Hope you ad a great weekend! Congratulations to all early voters. Great that you are using your right to vote! The past three weeks we have look at the leaders God appointed in the Bible, like great king David, but he was a sinner, a murderer and an adulterer. The rebellion of people that caused God to bring in evil leaders to hardship his people who were idolatry. Nebuchadnezzar who destroyed Israel but God referred to him as a servant. Yet there is another place that played a big role in the behavior of the children of God. The false prophets, the deceiving shepherds.
The scary thing is that in the time of Jeremiah this was the situation. The people had turned to false gods because the priest were doing their own thing and not what God had ordered them to do. The people wanted to hear good news, no more bad news of hardships but they wanted to hear about prosperity and peace. Then God sent Jeremiah to give them a chance to repent and turned their back to the false prophets and their lies, they didn't listen to Jeremiah. Instead they beat him up and had him almost killed a few times. It did catch my attention that we live in such times. People believe in a god that is flexible, a god that offers options of salvation. The doctrine of our faith has been adjusted to fit the culture of this time. The Christian doctrine has been corrupted. We know that. Who will blow the whistle?
"An astonishing and 'horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?" Jeremiah 5:30-31"Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the false prophets." Luke 6:26 God bless you, Julieta Reyes Flores |
