The weekend is here...finally!
You know, all these daily notes I write is about stuff that I reflect upon. These three weeks I have been processing how the authority in the Bible is described and how the leaders behave as God guides them and directs them. Also they have their own will to either do the right thing or not. Even the evil leaders=oppressors are described as servants of God. What I get out of it is that God has a perfect plan for His people. And His people have a way of getting in trouble......since the beginning of the earth. Yet after His people, we, seek to repent from our ways and return to God, He is there for us. Every revival in Christianity comes after God's people turn back to Him. No president or politician is able to restore peace or win a war. When we, His people, commit ourselves to serve God, we seek to please Him then He sends His Holy Spirit and great things happen for God's glory among us. This was a promise that God gave Jeremiah in a message to His people.
Jeremiah 29:10-14
10 "For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[b] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
