Who had a pumpkin-spice coffee lately, God willing this weekend I am going to get mine again, can't wait!

Have you heard that history repeats itself? Remember yesterday the verses out of the book of Jeremiah? Well, the book of exodus is first. In the time of Moses, God wanted to punish the people who turned to idolatry. When Moses was up the mountain with the Lord, the people were doing evil things. Before this day, God took them out of Egypt from the hands of Pharaoh. God parted the sea for Moses to make a scape for the people of Israel. God delivered his people from slavery and surely they praised God afterwards, but then they wanted to have fast results and where not patient to what God was orchestrating. Some even wanted to be in Egypt. So they made a god for themselves. 

Exodus 32:8-10 ⁸ They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them. They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it and said, 'These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!'" ⁹ And the Lord said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and behold, it is a stiff-necked people. ¹⁰ Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them, in order that I may make a great nation of you."

 

How does this relate to our nation?  

Who were sinning? The people. Was it because their leader was wicked? No.  

How does this related to elections?
