Today is a Brand New Day!

  Good morning Friend,

I pray that you had an amazing weekend and that you enjoyed at least on of the two days off.

Last Friday it was election day for Curacao, my beautiful island. Things did not go as I expected but I have to trust that God is in control. I could not help but to ask why.....but I think the answer was there all the time. People are away from God. It does not matter if it is there or in China, or in Brazil or here in the USA. Our culture is no longer God fearing. We are a few who believe truly in God and very few who pray and seek God with all of our hearts. People have grown a heart of stone. This happened in the past. It happened to God's people.
In the book of Jeremiah it is all about the people turning away from God. The task of Jeremiah was not to tell people about good news but his task was to tell them about destruction.

Jeremiah 11:10-11     They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant that I made with their fathers. 11 Therefore, thus says the Lord, Behold, I am bringing disaster upon them that they cannot escape. Though they cry to me, I will not listen to them.
Jeremiah was named the crying prophet. He cried because he had compassion of the people as they were going through so much trouble(still they would not repent but seek comfort in their gods) and he knew that there was nothing to do for them, not even prayer because God would not listen to their prayers.

Perhaps our culture has turned away from God? The difference is that we have Jesus Christ who will intercede for us before God if we seek Him from all of our hearts. Rejoice!

   God bless you,
