Pure Catskills
ATTENTION BEGINNING FARMERS
Fellowship Opportunity Available
Greetings!

Farmhearts is sponsoring a fellowship in collaboration with the Farm to Market Program of the Watershed Agricultural Council (the Council). The fellow will work with the Farm to Market Program and focus on beginning farmer programming.

This is the second Fellowship funded through Farmhearts, the mission of which is to preserve the environmental integrity and economic sustainability of agricultural regions by supporting family farms. The first Fellowship established Catskills FarmLink, a land access project, and Catskills CRAFT (Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training), a beginning farmer training and networking group.

Eligible candidates include apprentice farmers, proprietors of recently established agricultural businesses and emerging professionals in the local food marketplace. Do you know someone who may be interested?  Applications will be accepted until October 31, 2012, so forward this email today.
